Household hazardous waste includes everyday products such as bleach, garden and pool chemicals, and cleaning solvents that are purchased from the supermarket or hardware store.

The following items can be taken to Council transfer stations:

• aerosols
• batteries (household and lead acid batteries)
• empty gas bottles (up to 9kg)
• electronic waste
• fluorescent light bulbs and tubes
• paint
• used mineral engine oil.

Items must remain in their original containers and not be mixed. A 20 litre limit for each chemical or product applies to residents.
