February 2019
Thank you to all the residents who contributed ideas for the playground upgrade at Dunlop Park, Corinda near the pool.
A design has now been finalised and Council will begin preliminary works in coming weeks with construction to begin in April/May, weather permitting.
The Budget is $130,000, which sounds like a lot, but unfortunately isn’t and it is likely that the project will be delivered over two years.
Stage one will include:
– a new playground, including interactive fort ($110,000), which includes:
– climbing and agility equipment for both toddlers and older kids;
– swing set, including toddler and basket swings;
– Jeep rocker; and
– spinner/ caroussel.
– shade sail (approx $25,000);
– new tap and dog bowl;
– new bins; and
– top soil to level the entrance to Oxley Rd.
Stage two will include (when funding permits):
– learner bike circuit; and
– footpath to the playground from Oxley Rd.
Thank you again to everyone who gave feedback on the playground.
