Congratulations to the recipients of the 2022 Local Hero Community Service Awards presented by myself and Cr Steve Griffiths at the Oxley Community Festival celebrations. The following Local Heroes were recognised for their outstanding volunteer contributions to the Tennyson Ward community:

- Alison Horsley — Milperra SHS ESL programme
Congratulations to this year’s recipients who work tirelessly, and usually without acknowledgement, behind the scenes on behalf of our local community. We are so lucky to have such wonderful volunteers in the Tennyson Ward.
The awards will be back on Australia Day, January 2023 and we will be calling for flood heroes to be recognised. If you know an amazing volunteer from during the floods, please let my office know.
