Sherwood Arboretum Bird Walk

November 6, 2016 @ 6:30 am - 10:00 am

On Sunday morning, 6 November, you are invited to discover Sherwood Arboretum’s wonderful birdlife (please see attached).

Australian and internationally-recognised ecologist, Professor Hugh Possingham of The University of Queensland will share his life-long passion for birds during this 90-minute walk through the Arboretum, starting at the Jolimont Street, Sherwood entry at 6.30 am.

Hugh will introduce you to the Arboretum’s wetlands, home to many wader, water and bush birds, not to mention the rich variety of birdlife which make their homes among the stunning tree collection.

After the walk, FOSA invites you to relax and enjoy morning tea on the banks of the Brisbane River. The cost of $5.00 for adults supports our on-going effort to help care for this unique 91-year-old Arboretum.

To join the great walk, simply email info@sherwoodarboretum.com.au or call (07) 3278 6525 by Wednesday 2 November.
