Linda Neil is an Australian writer and documentary producer, and the author of two non-fiction books published by University of Queensland Press. Learning How to Breathe tells the story of her mother, Brisbane singing teacher Joan Neil, as she navigates her way through illness. Linda’s travel memoir All Is Given: A Memoir in Songs features stories gathered through interviews and soundtracks recorded around the world. In 2017, Linda was a Griffith Review Writing Fellow and was also awarded a writing fellowship at the Queensland Literary Awards.
