Maurice Little Way, Graceville  For ANZAC Day this year, we recognise the founder of the Sherwood RSL, Lt Maurice Little, who served as the first President of the Sherwood RSL from 1919 to 1925 and was a lifelong champion of veterans. Lt Little, a Gallipoli hero, was badly injured at Quinn’s Point, but came home to Corinda to champion the needs of World War One veterans. As suggested by the Sherwood-Indooroopilly RSL, the pathway between Churchill St and the cenotaph will be officially dedicated as Maurice Little Way on ANZAC Day this year. I hope you will all join me at the ANZAC Day service and unveiling at Graceville Memorial Park on 25 April – march fall in at 7am and service commences 7.30am.
