Important restoration works are underway at the heritage-listed Francis Lookout, Corinda to keep the site in excellent condition for many more years to come. Works include:
- Repairs and a new roof for the lychgate;
- repairs/replacement and repainting of the perimeter fencing;
- restoration of the historic headstones; and
- new bins and seating.
As well as boasting beautiful views over Brisbane and beyond, Francis Lookout is home to one of the oldest cemeteries in Brisbane and is the resting place of some of the earliest European settlers in the district.
