Major bus network changes commence on Monday, 30 June 2025 as part of the Brisbane Metro project. There are significant and unexpected route, stop location and timetable changes right across the City.

The stop where you board in the CBD or at South Brisbane may have changed so please check the new timetable carefully.

Check out TransLink’s journey planner to see how you are affected here.

You can download printable timetables here.

Sadly, Council and Translink are not printing hardcopy timetables any longer. We know this will adversely impact many people, particularly the elderly. My office can print bus timetables if you need a hardcopy.

Despite spending $1.6b on this massive Metro project, at least 15% of people in the City will actually get a worse bus service. Unbelievable!

I am really disappointed that the Lord Mayor and Council did not listen to the feedback from our local community. The very expensive Metro bus does not service Tennyson Ward and our local bus services are a mix of cuts, changes and minor additions that really don’t provide a better overall bus service for residents.

* Services that Council has publicly  and falsely stated in their final bus network review that “there are no changes to hours of operation, frequency or suburban route path for this service”.

Both Council and the State Government (current and former) share blame for the bus debacle. TransLink say the new bus network was based on customer feedback. It was not based on direct customer feedback but on advice from Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner and Brisbane City Council. Seriously, how many people said they wanted to catch two buses and walk hundreds of metres between buses or more than 1km to get to a bus stop? No one did.
