Over the past year, Council arborists have been working to save the trees outside the heritage listed Corinda Library. Collar rot has undermined the health of the three Camphor Laurel trees and, despite Council’s best efforts , they have died.

The current works include significant tree trimming and dead wooding to ensure the footpath and Library access remains safe. The trees will be retained for habitat value, particularly for nesting birds, and new native trees will be planted to restore the garden. Some night-time road closures of Oxley Rd will be needed for the cherry pickers.
