A major energy efficiency upgrade is on the way to make all 22 Council pools more environmentally sustainable. A new energy management system to help monitor and reduce power use, a new heat pump and more is on the way at Dunlop Park Memorial Pool, Corinda. Yeronga Memorial Park Pool has received funding for an energy audit and new solar panels, batteries and heat pumps. These upgrades will help lower running costs and energy usage for both pools.
In some more good news, $2 pool visits at all Brisbane City Council pools will be back this summer from December to February.
