Literary event: 25 years of Looking for Alibrandi | Corinda

In 1992, Australian author and teacher Melina Marchetta published her first book, Looking for Alibrandi. The book became an instant success, selling more than half a million copies in Australia and becoming a favourite book for generations of young adult readers. She went on to write the screenplay for the film which was a box office hit and opened the path for Marchetta to go on and write several bestselling novels.
