DESCRIPTION:Brass Roots Live returns to the Tennis Centre with all your favourites from the 1960’s through to the 1980’s. Sing and dance along to Peter Vance and Rachael Pearse as they warm up your winter evening with a mix of feel-good tunes from across the decades. Bring your dance card but not your high heels. \nThe Baseline café and bar will be open so enjoy the entertainment with a glass of wine and a meal. Food and drink from outside vendors are not allowed for this event. \nThere is a grass section in front of the band to bring a picnic blanket or there will be limited seating on the paved area behind the grass. Seating will be first come first served so head in early to guarantee your spot.

DESCRIPTION:Household hazardous waste includes everyday products such as bleach\, garden and pool chemicals\, and cleaning solvents that are purchased from the supermarket or hardware store. \nThe following items can be taken to Council transfer stations: \n\naerosols\nbatteries (household and lead acid batteries)\nempty gas bottles (up to 9kg)\nelectronic waste\nfluorescent light bulbs and tubes\npaint\nused mineral engine oil.\n\nItems must remain in their original containers and not be mixed. A 20 litre limit for each chemical or product applies to residents.

DESCRIPTION:Council now has a plan for replacing the trees lost during the November 2014 supercell storm. \nThe first Community Planting day will be held in Yeronga.  Council pre-digs the holes so the tree planting day is suitable for people of all ages and is a fun and rewarding family activity. Free trees are given to all participants to take home. \nPlease bring water\, sunscreen and a hat. \nA BBQ lunch will follow afterwards from about 11am. \nAbout 350 trees will be planted.
