Rowlinson Park, Yeronga Playground Update – May 2020
The $105,000 upgrade Rowlinson Park, Yeronga is now complete, and includes:
- a new agility fort;
- toddler play treehouse fort with multiple slides and interactive panels;
- baby, child and basket swings; and
- reuse of existing shade sail and play footprint.
Rowlinson Park, Yeronga Playground Update – October 2019
Plans are underway for the new playground at Rowlinson Park, Yeronga. This year I have budgeted $100,000 from the Tennyson Ward parks trust funds for the upgrade.
The current playground is a very tired, older style and many local families have spoken with me about the need for an upgrade.
Thank you to all residents who gave great feedback on the concepts. The plans are available below and includes:
- two new interactive forts with games for toddler and bigger kids;
- climbing and agility equipment for all ages;
- swing set, including toddler and basket swings;
- cockatoo rocker;
- new shade sail; and
- sandstone wall/seat.
Plans are being finalised and work is due to begin in the new year.
